Carol Suzanne Guy (Wendt)

Carol Suzanne Guy (Wendt) passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in Kemah, Texas.

Carol was born on November 20, 1954 in Michigan City, Indiana where she was raised swimming and twirling in the singing sands of Lake Michigan. She collected seashells, sand dollars and stones from every beach and waterfront she put her toes into. On one of the many Guy Family trips and cross-country excursions, they were stopped by TSA because Carol had packed a gallon Ziploc bag full of sand as her souvenir from the beach.

Carol had a vibrant smile that always followed her cackling laugh saying "Que Sera Sera" to anything less than positive. Wherever Carol was, the party followed with music from her piano, jukebox, or stereo filling every room. She was a spirited social butterfly, kind and compassionate at heart with a likeness of gullibility. Carol habitually spoke with her arms in full swing and donned with her silver bracelets jingling together. Her daughters can still hear the chime of her silver, reminding them of her 4 principles of life, to mind their P's & Q's and drink all their milk.

She kept a good book by her side and soaked up the southern heat by her pool that she swam in until her final day. She wished to spend eternity among the water, so her ashes will be spread in Lake Michigan at a later date. Those who wish to celebrate Carol's life should raise a glass and take a dip in her memory.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred "Red" Wendt & Doris (Pagels) Wendt; brother, Larry Wendt; and her beloved dog, Jazz. She is survived by her three daughters, Nicole (Ken) Meaney, Michelle (Trevor) Washam & Stephanie Guy; brother, Randy Wendt; dear friends, Camille Smith & Deb Peterson; and 5 grandchildren, Mary, Lawrence & Evelyn Meaney and Jackson & Lucas Washam. Her grandchildren are still finding pretzels and chocolate kisses in their pockets from Grandma.
