(La Porte, IN) - If you're a resident in the La Porte Community School District, your election ballot on or before November 5th will include five candidates who are running for the La Porte Community School Board at Large.  You will have the option to vote for three of the five candidates.  The five candidates who are running for La Porte Community School Board are:

Jim Arnold

Monica L. Beaty

Maria L. Ria Carpenter

Ed Gilliland

Tucker King

Please note that school board elections in Indiana are "non-partisan" positions, which means that if you vote straight party ticket, you will need to vote for school board candidates individually on the ballot, otherwise you will not cast a vote for the School Board election.

On October 3rd, a La Porte Community School Board Candidate Forum took place at Kessling Middle School.  The event was organized by Fran Milo, video recorded by Tim Franke and Duneland Media, kept on time by Gloria Jones and moderated by Tim King.
