Christy L. Sandberg, 49, Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 7:40 pm in VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso, IN.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, September 23, 2022 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Tim Murphy officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Friday in the funeral chapel.

 

She was born March 18, 1973, in Plymouth, IN to Richard and Susan (McCord) Sandberg.

 

Surviving are her father, Richard Sandberg of The Pines, IN; sister, Kimberly (Jerry, Jr.) Fogus of Valparaiso, IN; two brothers, Brett (Troy) Sandberg of Nashville, TN, and Brian (Bobbi) Sandberg of Michigan City, IN; sister-in-law, Paulette Sandberg of North Judson, IN; special cousin, Rachel (Jeremiah) Jackson of Valparaiso, IN; nieces and nephews, Jessi, Dale, Jerry, Willa, RaeAnne, and Judith.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Sandberg; and brother, Richard Sandberg.

 

Christy attended Opportunity Enterprises. She enjoyed listening to music, splashing in the water, people watching and eating french fries from McDonald's.
