• Homelessness: We are in need of more resources to work with the homeless in our community. With our new office space with shower, washer and dryers for the less fortunate, we will be able to help and work with them day to day.
• Mental Illness: We are hoping to work more with Swanson Center and other agencies with more boots on the ground work out in the public.
• Addiction: We have worked with agencies in the past and hope to continue, but work more closely with the clients each day to make them trust that we are enough to help them get to rehab. 

Give three reasons why voters should consider you this election.

1. I have worked harder than any trustee in our county for the last 8 years. I am a full-time trustee that gives 110%.
2. I have completed everything that I promised while running for office other than solving or making better with the homeless community. That will be my focus this next 4 years.
3. I believe that it takes a TEAM to make things happen. I plan to continue to work with agencies and other non-profits to bring as many programs and funding to the township that I can.

Is there anything else you'd like voters to know about you?

I am married to my husband Mike for 33 years and we have 2 sons and a daughter with a bonus exchange student for 4 years. I sit on many boards so that I can get as much information as I can for our community. I work with agencies to help end homelessness in our community.

As New Durham Township Trustee, I will robustly represent New Durham Township. I believe in accountability and accessibility of elected representatives to the taxpayers, and as the New Durham Township Trustee, township citizens will be able to easily contact me with questions and/or concerns about our township and receive a timely response from me. I believe in a balanced budget that supports the township entities, in order to best serve and protect the people of New Durham Township. I will respectfully and transparently work with township members, residents, and all township entity members/volunteers. I am energized and ready to put my best foot forward.

1. Accessibility. I will be accessible to township residents and the township board. Any residents, township entity volunteers or members, and township board members who reach out to me will receive a timely response from me. I have experience interacting with community members in several avenues, through education, nonprofit work, small business, and leadership boards. I believe that people should be treated with respect.
2. Financial Integrity. I will be organized and prepared each year presenting an annual budget that ensures township entities run smoothly and responsibly.
3. Community Service/Ownership. I believe that, as a citizen, it is important to take ownership in our local communities through avenues of volunteering. I continue to volunteer as a LaPorte County CASA, a member of the South County Coalition, Pax Center/State Street Board member, and as a team member for local Discussion Over Dinner events.

I raise 4 young children in New Durham Township with my husband, Sam, and believe it is best practice to model and be the type of person you want your children to become.

1st District voters are angry, disgusted, and disillusioned with Washington. Citizens feel like they have no role in a government that has gotten too big and plays an ever-growing role in our lives, decisions, and opportunities. We feel it when we check out at the grocery store, when we fill up at the pump, and when we experience the consequences of illegal drugs coming to our communities through an open border. I will fight for ideas that put workers and families first, champion economic innovation, celebrate the dignity of work and earned success, prioritize a strong national defense, safeguard families' rights in their children's education, and protect the unborn.

1. I've stood the watch to support and defend the Constitution and understand the sacrifices we ask of our men and women in uniform and their families. I'm now asking for your vote to send me to Washington to fight to secure our rights and the liberties that allow our communities to thrive.
2. As a mayor and leader in state government, I've worked closely with leaders across the region, state, country, and globe to help businesses create new jobs and ensure Hoosier students and adults connect with the opportunity they provide.
3. I've taken on tough challenges all my life and have a proven record of results of fighting against harmful policies and a status quo mentality to energize diverse teams in a common mission that serves our communities and causes higher than ourselves.
