Kansas 2026 live midterm elections results: Democrat Adam Hamilton projected to win Senate seat

ABC News

Democratic candidate Adam Hamilton is set to make history with a projected win in his U.S. Senate race, breaking the party's 94-year losing streak in Kansas.

Hamilton, a pastor leading the country's largest United Methodist congregation in the country, is projected to defeat Republican incumbent Sen. Roger Marshall for the seat -- the first Democrat win a Senate seat since 1932, defying the odds in a state President Donald Trump won three times.

Meanwhile, in the governor's race, Democratic state Sen. Cindy Holscher and state Senate President Ty Masterson are running for the open seat to replace term-limited Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly.
