(Michigan City, IN) - Michigan City Police are investigating the weekend shootings of two people at the lakefront.

 

According to police, responding officers discovered a gunshot victim near the Michigan City Senior Center at Washington Park and performed medical attention until paramedics arrived.

 

During the investigation, police said officers learned that a second individual suffering from a gunshot wound arrived at Franciscan Health.  One individual is currently in custody.

 

Police said the shootings appear to have been an isolated incident.
