(La Porte, IN) - A man on a motorcycle was taken by medical helicopter after a collision with a car in La Porte.

 

It happened Tuesday afternoon. According to La Porte Police, the investigation

shows Thomas Hyer was southbound on U.S. 35 when a car pulled out into his path from a parking lot in the 400 block of Pine Lake Ave.

 

Police said the other driver, Stanley Wisniewski, was not injured. Hyer was taken by ambulance to a medical helicopter waiting for him in a grassy area outside the downtown courthouse, police said. 

 

Police said the motorcycle suffered extensive damage.  Further details were not released.
