(La Porte County, IN) - A police chase occurred this morning in La Porte County.

According to police dispatch information, the pursuit was on U.S. 35 just after 8 a.m. then veered eastbound on U.S. 6. where speeds topped 90 miles per hour before entering Kingsford Heights.

A short time later, the suspect stepped out of the vehicle and fled on foot after turning on Grayton Road.  At one point during a foot chase, a bite from a K-9 dog was reported.  The chase originated in the city of La Porte.
