(La Porte County, IN) - A 19 year old man is facing underage drinking and other charges related to his alleged combative behavior during his arrest.
Police said Victor Louis was found in the driver's seat of a vehicle stopped in the middle of Indiana 39 near Union Mills without headlights on before 1 a.m. on Sunday.
According to police, Louis believed to be heavily intoxicated told investigators a vehicle occupied by two males forced him to stop and punched him several times before taking his car keys. During a tirade, police said Louis used a lot of obscenities and even forced officers to carry him to a law enforcement vehicle.
He was taken to a hospital for evaluation when he allegedly kicked an officer, tried biting another officer and attempted to grab ammunition for an officer’s handgun before transported to the La Porte County Jail while screaming.
Louis is facing three misdemeanor counts along with Level 6 felony battery to a police officer.
