(Porter County, IN) - A suspected illegal alien is back in custody after escaping from an ICE officer in Porter County yesterday afternoon.

According to Indiana State Police, the suspect was transferred from the custody of troopers to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

An ICE officer was transporting the individual to a holding facility for processing when the alleged illegal migrant was able to free himself from restraints and jumped from the moving vehicle along Interstate 94 at Burns Harbor.
