(La Porte, IN) - Fox Park in La Porte was packed for the Saturday night concert by Uncle Kracker as part of the annual Lakefest.
Uncle Kracker, who put together a string of hit singles beginning in the 1990’s, performed for more than one hour before leaving the stage, but he soon came back for an encore performance.
Among the people close to the stage was Tabitha Aguilar, a fan of Uncle Kracker since childhood. Among her favorite Uncle Kracker songs is Follow Me and Smile.
“He was one of the first CD’s I got as a teenager,” she said.
La Porte Park Department Superintendent Mark Schreiber and Mayor Tom Dermody were impressed by the crowd being nearly packed two hours before Uncle Kracker took the stage.
“We knew Uncle Kracker would have some broad appeal. He’s country. He’s rock. He’s got a lot of connections whether it’s Kid Rock or Kenny Chesney, so he’s got a big audience,” Schreiber said.
