(La Porte County, IN) - A La Porte County road was temporarily closed today.

 

Division Road is closed about a quarter mile west of Fail Road.

 

La Porte County Commissioner Steve Holifield said the reason is believed to be a broken drain tile crews will work to confirm and repair, if necessary, so the road can reopen as quickly as possible.

“I’m hoping we can have this done in 24 hours,” said he said.

 

Holifield said a sink hole was beginning to develop possibly due to water backing up inside the collapsed drain tile.

 

Division Road was closed from Fail Road to Boyd Boulevard.
