(La Porte, IN) - A man is facing drug and alcohol related charges for being in Walmart when he threatened to blow up the store in La Porte.
Police said 58 year old Michael Zurcher was upset because nobody could answer his questions during his visit to the store last week. At one point, the La Porte man allegedly threatened to blow up the store and, in response, a store employee called police.
Authorities said Zurcher told investigators he wasn’t really going to blow up the place, saying he was just having a bad day.
Police said he was drinking alcohol from a Gatorade bottle and had over three grams of methamphetamine along with some marijuana on his possession.
He was being held in the La Porte County Jail on $750 bond.
