(La Porte County, IN) - A La Porte County Jail inmate is accused of breaking sprinkler heads that caused water to pour temporarily into his cell each time.

 

Jordan Fetters, 34, of Michigan City is charged in La Porte Circuit Court with Level 6 felony vandalism.

 

According to the charging information, Fetters on July 3 broke a sprinkler head in his cell with an undisclosed act of force.  A new sprinkler head was installed so the fire suppression system in the jail could be reactivated.

 

The next day, Fetters with force allegedly broke the new sprinkler head.  Water each time poured out from where the sprinkler heads were broken until the water was turned off.

 

According to court records, Fetters has been in the jail since May on a theft charge.
