(Michigan City, IN) - A 13-year old boy is charged with seriously wounding another teenager in Michigan City by stabbing him.

 

According to Michigan City Police, the boy is charged Level 3 felony aggravated battery and two counts of Level 5 felony battery.

 

Police said the stabbing happened late Saturday afternoon at a home in the 900 block of Ohio St. where a 19 year old man was found with a life threatening puncture wound to his back.

 

He was transported to Franciscan Health hospital.

 

Police said the suspect was located inside the residence and arrested once multiple items of undisclosed evidence was found during a search of the home.  He was being held in the La Porte County Juvenile Services Center.

 

Police said the stabbing occurred following an argument between the victim and suspect.
