(Westville, IN) - A traffic stop for erratic driving in Westville Tuesday resulted in the arrest of the driver on drug related charges.
Kaitlin Mannia, 36, of La Porte was booked into the La Porte County Jail on charges of Level 4 felony possession of methamphetamine along with Class B misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
La Porte County Police said Mannia about 4 p.m. swerved into the opposite lane in the area of Flynn Road and Jefferson St. and stayed there for several seconds before returning to the proper lane.
She then nearly caused a collision from braking hard and was weaving while traveling slowly before stopping for the officer, police said.
Police said Mannia had 10 grams of methamphetamine along with glass smoking pipes containing burnt residue and a small amount of marijuana.
