(La Porte, IN) - A 19 year old driver is accused of being intoxicated when his car wound up stuck on some railroad tracks in La Porte early Sunday.

Yavarion Rice of North Liberty is charged with operating while intoxicated and minor consumption of alcohol.

According to La Porte County Police, the car driven by Rice somehow wound up between two sets of tracks about 3 a.m. at the crossing near Boston and Factory streets. 

Rice told investigators he was driving when he lost sight of the roadway, police said. His alleged blood alcohol level was .165-percent or slightly more two times the legal limit.
