(Michigan City, IN) - Power has been restored at the courthouse in Michigan City.
According to La Porte County Commissioner Steve Holifield, the outage was discovered and reported around 7 am Thursday morning. A transformer problem was believed to be the cause.
While NIPSCO addressed the outage, operations at the courthouse were put on a two-hour delay. Power was restored around 9 am, and the courthouse opened back up at 10.
