(Lake County, IN) - Police say alcohol was involved in a fiery head-on collision caused by traveling the wrong way on the Indiana Toll Road.

 

44 year old Lynn Wallace from South Bend was arrested for operating while intoxicated and other counts.  According to state police, she was traveling the wrong way when she collided with an oncoming vehicle in Gary early Sunday.

 

Miraculously, perhaps, there were no serious injuries.  The other driver, Gabriel Velasco of Elkhart was treated at a hospital and released.

 

Police say Wallace had an odor of alcohol on her breath.  She refused a certified blood alcohol test but the woman was forced to give a blood sample under a search warrant obtained from a judge.

 

Her alleged blood alcohol level was not revealed.
