(La Porte County, IN) - A teenager is charged in connection with objects damaging motor vehicles on a La Porte County highway. 

 

Phillip Duffus, 18, is charged with four counts of Level 6 felony criminal recklessness and four counts of criminal mischief, a Class B misdemeanor.

 

 

 

 

On December 13, police said several motorists reported damage to their vehicles on U.S. 421 between 200 North and 1800 South.  The victims reported the damage was from objects thrown from a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction, police said.

 

Duffus was located recently in Lake County and taken into custody on warrants for his arrest.  Police said another person could have been involved but the investigation is ongoing.

The objects were not identified.
