(Michigan City, IN) - Michigan City Police are investigating the death of a man found outside a church.

Police say 57 year old Erik Johnson was found unconscious about 10 a.m. on Friday outside Temple Missionary Baptist Church on Wabash St.  Life saving measures were applied but Johnson was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Michigan City Police.
