(Michigan City, IN) - Washington Park Zoo in Michigan City opens for its 98th season tomorrow.
An opening celebration that will include remarks from Mayor Angie Nelson Deuitch is scheduled at 10 a.m. in the Bear Fountain Plaza. Officials with the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce and the Michigan City Zoological Society will join the festivities.
The zoological society will have a station to welcome visitors, provide guest support on memberships and serve coffee. The society will also be accepting donations and hosting a drawing to win an annual zoo membership pass.
