(La Porte, IN) - A world famous recording artist will be the headline performer at the annual LakeFest in La Porte this summer. Uncle Kracker will be on the stage at Fox Park on July 25. He started as a member of Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Trucker Band then shot to fame with his debut hit single, Double Wide, in 2000. Other top 10 and #1 hits followed like Follow Me and Smile.
La Porte Park Department Superintendent Mark Schreiber said Uncle Kracker is a perfect fit because of a sound blending country, rock, pop and a splash of hip hop that "feels like summer."
“With a long catalog of hits that people know and love, we know this show will be a hit for fans of all ages,” he said.
Admission to the concert is free, but there will be a limited number of front stage passes available for sale beginning at 10 a.m. on March 27 at laportelakefest.com. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. with a pair of opening acts that will be announced later in the week.
