(La Porte County, IN) - A La Porte County juvenile has been arrested for alleged crimes against children.

 

 

An investigation that began on December 19 culminated Friday with the arrest of a 16-year-old.

 

According to the Sheriff’s Office, detectives discovered concerning images and videos believed to be that of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). With search warrants obtained for Google and the social media platforms Snapchat and X, authorities identified a rural La Porte County juvenile as the suspect.

 

The unnamed juvenile is currently charged with the following:

 

• Conspiracy to Commit Rape, L3 Felony

• Seven Counts of Child Exploitation, L4 Felony

• Six Counts of Possession of CSAM, L5 Felony

• Four Counts of Exploitation, L5 Felony

 

Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
