(La Porte, IN) - A man was about to get married at the courthouse in La Porte when police crashed the festivities by arresting the groom.
66 year old Bradley Armstrong was arrested Tuesday before he could say his wedding vows. La Porte County Police said Armstrong on his marriage license application failed to mention as required that he is a classified violent lifetime sex offender.
The question is asked on the application but Armstrong’s answer was no, police said. According to authorities, the address he listed on the application was also different than the one he listed on the sex offender registry. He’s charged with providing false information on a marriage license application, a Level 6 felony. Armstrong’s conviction was from 2002.
