(Starke County, IN) - Police in Starke County are trying to identify a man who tried robbing a Dollar General.  This happened about 8:30 yesterday morning outside Knox.  Police said the suspect handed a note to a cashier demanding money from the register, but he fled empty handed when told there was no money.  The man was described as black and thin wearing a green baseball cap and a dark colored hoody, police said.  He was last seen getting into a vehicle that fled westbound on State Road 8 toward Knox.
