(La Porte County, IN) - La Porte County Police arrested a suspected child predator this morning.

Joseph Yaw, 34, is charged in La Porte Circuit Court with Level 3 felony promotion of sex trafficking, Level 5 felony child solicitation and Class A misdemeanor inappropriate communication with a child.

Police said the investigation began just over two months ago when a 13 year old girl reported she received inappropriate messages.  Evidence of Yaw being a suspect was obtained over the next several weeks and a warrant was issued for his arrest on Monday. 

Yaw was being held on $25,000 bond.  No additional details about the alleged crimes were released.
