(La Porte County, IN) - Two juveniles in La Porte County have been arrested on rape allegations.

 

According to La Porte County Police, the case was opened when an individual came forward in early January to report witnessing sexual acts being performed on November 1 at a rural La Porte County residence.

 

The investigation over the next several weeks included an interview with the alleged 17 year old victim and collection of additional evidence.  Eventually, police said suspects, also 17, were identified.

 

The case was given to the La Porte County Prosecutor’s Office, which presented the findings to a judge who found probable cause to have the suspects charged with Level 3 felony rape.

 

Police said both juveniles were taken into custody earlier this week.  The teenagers are charged as adults and were being held in the La Porte County Juvenile Services Center.
