(La Porte County, IN) - Impairment is alleged in a head-on collision that caused serious injuries to the other driver outside La Porte.  21 year old Mackenzie Miller is now facing charges. 

 

 

 

La Porte County Police said the Walkerton woman veered across the center line, striking a vehicle head-on Sunday night on Indiana 2 near 100 South.  47 year old Franklin Lile of Wanatah was airlifted to a regional hospital with injuries described as serious.

 

Miller was treated at a local hospital and later booked into the county jail.  She was being held on $15,000 bond.

 

Miller could face anywhere from one to six years on a charge of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury in La Porte Circuit Court.
