(La Porte, IN) - An employee of the La Porte School Corporation has been recognized statewide for her job performance.

 

Dawn Sprouse , secretary at Kingsbury Elementary School, was named secretary of the year by the Indiana Association of School Principals.

 

“Recipients are recognized for taking initiative and demonstrating the courage to try new approaches that make their school better,” said Superintendent Dr. Sandra Wood during her announcement at last night’s school board meeting.

 

Anyone who knows Dawn understands how deserving she is of this honor,” she said.

 

Wood also described Sprouse as being an essential part of the Kingsbury community who consistently goes above and beyond for students, families and staff.  Sprouse officially received the award on February 27.
