(La Porte, IN) - A Kingsford Heights area man who allegedly tried hiding a large amount of methamphetamine in his mouth is facing multiple charges.
Brock Lindsey is charged in La Porte Circuit Court with Level 5 felony possession of methamphetamine; Level 6 felony operating while intoxicated and Class A misdemeanor driving on a suspended license.
According to La Porte Police, Lindsey was stopped early on February 27 when clocked traveling 82 miles per hour on U.S. 35 on the city’s south side. After questioned about the odor of alcohol on his breath, police said the officer spotted Lindsey place something in his mouth large enough to make his right cheek bulge.
Police said he repeatedly refused to remove the item from his mouth but after taken to the ground he spit out what turned out to be six grams of methamphetamine in the shape of a ball. He was arrested for OWI after allegedly refusing to take a breathalyzer test.
The next hearing in the case was set for March 20 for a judge to decide whether to lower his bond.
