(Lansing, MI) - Marijuana dispensaries produced over a million dollars in tax revenue for New Buffalo Township government last year.

Newly released figures from the state reveal New Buffalo Township received just over $1.4 million from 26 licensed dispensaries near Interstate 94 and along U.S. 12.

The Village of Three Oaks received slightly more than $54,000 for one licensed dispensary.  The cities of Niles and Buchanan collected over $324,000 apiece from the six dispensaries in each community.

Statewide, local municipalities combined received more than $46 million from 868 licensed dispensaries in Michigan, according to the figures.
