(Michigan City, IN) - A man wanted for armed robbery and other crimes in Michigan City has been taken into custody.

Jayden Owens was arrested Friday afternoon.  Police said Owens and Deshannon Driver, both 18, were suspected of pointing a gun at someone in the 400 block of Ridgeland Ave. when located soon at Walker Park.

They allegedly fled and were apprehended in the 500 block of Springland Ave.  At the time, Owens had warrants out for his arrest on charges of armed robbery, battery with a deadly weapon and other counts, police said. 

Police said Owens was also arrested for Level 6 felony pointing a firearm and Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement.  Driver was arrested for resisting law enforcement.
