(South Bend, IN) - The South Bend International Airport is going next-level with its parking lot procedures. This week the airport installed a new ticketless system that utilizes license plate recognition technology.

Now travelers simply drive into the lot and park, then scan a QR code to register their vehicle. QR codes are posted throughout the parking lot and inside the airport. No app download is necessary. Payment via credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay is processed when the car exits the lot. For travelers in a hurry, a vehicle can be registered any time prior to leaving the lot.

The company running the parking lot will have helpers on hand to assist customers throughout this transition.
