(La Porte County, IN) - A driver fleeing police at high speeds from La Porte County into Michigan was captured yesterday afternoon.

Shortly before 5 pm., officers were in pursuit of the vehicle on U.S. 12.  Eventually, the chase ventured into New Buffalo then Interstate 94 where speeds reached well over 100 miles per hour.

Reports indicate stop sticks were deployed to try and flatten the fleeing vehicle’s tires. The driver was soon taken into custody.
