(Michigan City, IN) - The mayor of Michigan City will host her third annual charitable gala next month.

 

Last year, the event raised close to $150,000 to help children and do other things like improve parks and perform neighborhood projects.

 

The charitable gala this year is April 17 at the Stardust Event Center at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa.

 

“Each year, the gala brings our community together around a shared purpose,” said Mayor Angie Nelson Deuitch.

 

Tickets sold out last year for the event, which had more than 700 people in attendance.  Deuitch said the evening will feature dinner, live entertainment and opportunities to celebrate the partnerships and organizations helping shape Michigan City’s future.
