(Elkhart, IN) - An area air medical service has earned some Congressional recognition.
MedFlight out of Memorial Hospital in South Bend has been serving serious condition medical patients for twenty years now. Yesterday at Elkhart Municipal Airport 2nd District Congressman Rudy Yakym presented the helicopter flight team a Congressional Record in recognition of their lifesaving air medical services. Yakym had previously acknowledged the team from the House floor.
MedFlight serves communities across northern Indiana and southwestern Michigan, including La Porte County.
“For 20 years, their exceptional team has demonstrated unwavering dedication, courage, and professionalism in service to our communities,” Yakym said. “Their work has saved lives, supported families in their most critical moments, and strengthened emergency care across our region. We thank them for their continued service and celebrate their remarkable legacy.”
