(La Porte County, IN) - Two semi-truck drivers were injured in a crash Tuesday near Rolling Prairie.  La Porte County Police said the investigation shows a tractor trailer on State Road 2 began sliding on icy pavement and jackknifed near 700 East. 

The rig came to rest in the opposite lanes and was hit by an oncoming semi.  Police said both female drivers were taken to the hospital in La Porte complaining of pain from various areas.  No further light was shed on their conditions but they were both able to speak to investigators, police said.  The drivers were from Elkhart and the Chicago area.  The westbound lanes were closed for several hours after the late morning crash.
