(Kosciusko County) - A northern Indiana man has been arrested for a murder committed over 50 years ago in California.
Last year authorities in San Diego reached out to Indiana State Police regarding a suspect in a cold case from 1975. In February of that year, 34-year-old Edmund LaFave was found dead from multiple stab wounds in a pool of blood.
Upon further investigation, 71-year-old Johnnie Ray Salisbury of Syracuse in Kosciusko County was identified as a suspect and located. Police from San Diego flew to Indiana and arrested Salisbury in North Webster on Wednesday. He is now awaiting extradition back to California.
