(Michigan City, IN) - Michigan City Police have arrested a young adult for having a handgun converted into a machine gun. Terrion Wright, 19, of Michigan City was being held on $20,000 bond on charges of Level 4 felony operating a loaded machine gun and Level 6 felony criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
Police said officers late Sunday night responded to at least one gunshot fired in the 1100 block of W. 4th St. Wright and the once semi-automatic gun converted into a rapid fire weapon were soon located nearby, police said. Wright could face anywhere from a 2 to 12 year sentence on the most serious count.
