(Michigan City, IN) - A suspected retail store burglar was caught red handed by Michigan City Police over the weekend.

 

 

 

Just after midnight Saturday, police said officers responding to a burglar alarm at Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets mall found a window shattered at the Columbia Outlet store. 

 

It wasn’t long before 59 year old Rodney Cooper was allegedly found inside hiding under a rack of clothing next to several bags of clothing, police said. 

 

The Michigan City man was being held in the La Porte County Jail on $15,000 bond.  Other responding agencies included the Long Beach Police Department and the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office.
