(La Porte County, IN) - La Porte County Police have been contacted about what local republicans believe is a threat of violence.

 

 

The La Porte County Young Republicans group recently made a social media post that included pictures from one of its meetings.  One of the responses stated “kill yourselves before a real American does the job Nazi scum.”

 

La Porte County Republican Party Chairman Allen Stevens said the sheriff’s office was contacted after consulting with the Republican Party Central Committee.

 

Stevens said the post was taken seriously given the acts of violence against republicans nationwide. 

 

He said the party and its various clubs will be implementing additional safety and security protocols as a precaution.
