(Miami, FL) - A La Porte man and two friends have tickets for tonight’s college football title game between undefeated Indiana and Miami.

 

City Councilman Tim Franke, his business partner, Adam Konieczny and Adam Lancaster, his roommate when he was a student at I.U., arrived in Miami yesterday morning.

 

Franke said the sudden rise of the Hoosiers in football is still hard to believe.  “I don’t think either of us would have ever imagined being here for a national championship in football,” he said.

 

Franke said a lot of I.U. fans made the trip for the game judging by the number of fans on his flight from Midway Airport in Chicago and those he has already seen out and about in Miami. 

 

“Everywhere we go there’s certainly a lot of cream and crimson around,” he said.

 

The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 tonight central time.
