(La Porte County, IN) - A shoplifting suspect from Walmart in Michigan City was on probation for a previous theft conviction. Kaitlin Pahl, 34, was arrested Wednesday for Level 6 felony theft.
La Porte County Police said she was spotted by a security officer scanning a bar code from a less expensive item to pay a much cheaper price for two packages of meat costing more than $11 apiece.
When stopped, police said Pahl revealed there were other stolen items like a pound of hamburger and seasoning packets along with coffee in her purse. According to court records, she was placed on one year of probation when sentenced in June for theft.
