Suspicious Activity Leads to Drug Arrest

(La Porte, IN) - A call to police about suspected drug activity in La Porte resulted in the arrest of man now facing charges.

Brian Wilkinson, 45, is charged in La Porte Circuit Court with Level 6 felony possession of methamphetamine and Class C misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.

According to La Porte Police, officers on January 11 responded to a report of possible drug activity involving two vehicles at Little Caesar’s in the 2400 block of Monroe St.  Upon arrival, police said officers approached Wilkinson standing outside of the vehicles.

A bag containing just under 1.5 grams of methamphetamine was allegedly found in one of his pockets.  Police said the paraphernalia was in the form of rolled up dollar bills commonly used to snort narcotics.

The La Porte man was still being held in the La Porte County Jail without bond.
