(Starke County, IN) - A pet monkey died in a house fire in Knox.

A two story barn shaped home was engulfed in flames when firefighters began arriving early in the afternoon Saturday.  Officials say a pet monkey was found dead while a dog that ran away from the burning dwelling was still missing.  Firefighters were on the scene for over three hours.
