(La Porte County, IN) - There’s a new second in command at the La Porte County Prosecutor’s Office.  Guy DiMartino has been named Chief Deputy Prosecutor.  He replaces Chuck Watterson, who had been chief deputy since La Porte County Prosecutor Sean Fagan took over the office a little more than three years ago.

Watterson recently announced his candidacy for prosecutor in the republican May 5 primary.  Fagan, who has not revealed if he will seek a second term, said DiMartino is a great fit for the position.

“Guy possesses personal and professional wisdom, a mature and balanced temperament and has the extensive legal and trial experience that is necessary for the overall success of our work,” he said.

Currently, DiMartino is the lead attorney for La Porte County government. DiMartino, who is running for judge in La Porte Superior Court 3, will continue on as county attorney while serving as chief deputy, Fagan said.  He was previously the attorney for the La Porte County Council and the La Porte County Redevelopment Commission.
