(Michigan City, IN) - The president of the city council in Michigan City will remain in that position for the New Year.
Tracie Tillman was unanimously reelected council president by her colleagues during the reorganization portion of last night’s regularly scheduled meeting of the governing body.
Tillman gave a verbal pat on the back to the council for choosing her after her first term as president last year.
“I would just like to take a moment and thank my fellow council members for the nomination and for trusting me to carry out my duties as council president for 2026,” she said.
Councilman Tim Bietry was reelected vice president of the council, defeating Don Przybylinski in a 6–3 vote.
