(Michigan City, IN) - An arrest has been made for a weekend shooting during a robbery attempt in Michigan City.

 

 

 

According to Michigan City Police, the victim suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound on Saturday.  The victim was at an undisclosed apartment complex during an encounter with multiple individuals that escalated into gunfire when they attempted to rob the person who was shot, police said.

 

One person was later taken into custody on more than one felony count as a result of the investigation. The name of the suspect was not released.  Police said the search of an undisclosed location related to the investigation led to the recovery of several firearms, including the gun believed to have been used in the shooting.
