(La Porte County, IN) - A report of a reckless driver resulted in the alcohol related arrest of the suspect in the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant.

Titus Williams, 61, of South Bend is charged with operating while intoxicated.  According to La Porte County Police, another driver on a cell phone Saturday night told a 911 dispatcher a vehicle was driving over the center line and off the roadway at times at inconsistent speeds on Indiana 2 near the fairgrounds.

The caller following the suspect kept the dispatcher up to date on their locations as Williams pulled into Burger King on La Porte’s west side.  Police said Williams after located in the drive-thru told officers he drank a whole bottle of champagne at a party.  His alleged blood alcohol level was .116-percent.
